Warehouse / Transport evening administrator.

Network transport is fast paced, constantly on the move & always adapting. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to grow, develop and become an integral part of the overall network operation. Communication, attention to detail and strong work ethic are key to the development of this position.

Job description
• Liaise and link between day and night operations
• Manage inbound and outbound vehicle traffic.
• General inbound load inspections
• Debrief departing vehicles
• Record and manage nightly, volume operation data
• Work closely with duty Supervisor, communicating / recording relevant operation tasks
• General documentation recording and reporting for day operations
• Freight volume management
• General network operational queries
• Ensure company procedures and quality service are maintained at all times
• Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to by all staff and visitors, at all times. (reporting where necessary)

Candidate would preferably come from a Transport administrative background with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience.
• Be self-motivated, ambitious and enjoy working in a busy environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft applications Word, Outlook and Excel
• Flexible with working hours
• Able to work of own initiative
• Understand and adapt to changes within the organisation if and when necessary

General Role
The evening / night forklift driver will be involved in our peak time hub operation. The duties will include the following daily tasks.
• Unloading of freight from inbound trunk vehicles (mainly double decks)
• Strategic and safe reloading of outbound freight
• Freight bay allocation and sortation
• Incident reporting
• Maintain good housekeeping practices
• Knowledge and responsibility for safety
• Must be flexible in your duties

The candidate would preferably come from a similar freight handling background with at least 2-3 years’ experience.
• Requires a recent up to date counter balance forklift licence
• Manual handling certificate
• GDP training an advantage
• Must be hardworking and willing to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
